Hi all! It's been a while since I posted something, mostly because I've been visiting friends and trying to square away some life-y career-y stuff, which is way more time consuming than I ever think it is.

Hi All! Last night I guest recapped THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. I KNOW YOU'RE ALL SO CURIOUS TO KNOW WHAT I SAID... Last night, your regularly scheduled recapper took a break and I filled in for her, which is probably unfortunate for everyone involved.

I've been feeling so nostalgic for the X-Men before they were revamped for movies. It's weird. I made Rylie watch some of the animated series with me this weekend. Good thing she likes it. Now, I'm stuck imagining all the ways they could make another movie and NOT fuck it up. Ugh.

I'm going to go see Joni play this Saturday, which should be fun.

I'm really kind of on the fence about last night's Gossip Girl. It's like a caffeine high - I'm so excited, I'm so scared. lol

Supernatural fandom scares the living hell out of me. Still. But Misha Collins is one funny dude.

I have figured it out! The reason VD sucks and Damon is so awesome despite everything around him being lame is that he's the only one in on the joke! Everyone else on that show is taking this drivel way too seriously, thus Damon comes out looking fabulous because he is not a fool, unlike the rest of them. It all makes sense now.

Also, Diane Birch is fantastic. I can't stop playing her album, Bible Belt.

So, I'm driving along, minding my own business, when I look up and there the bitch is, all, "Wazzup? I'm just kickin it here in my web on your fucking dashboard. How's it goin?" So I'm cool and I'm all, "Good, I'm good. You just stay right where you are for the next three miles and I won't make any sudden movements and we'll be juuuust fine." So she does and I do and then I parked in the driveway and hauled the Sprog out of the car to bed (she was asleep), came back and said "hey, brb" to the spider, grabbed a flashlight and a can of spider killer and sprayed her ass so much I started to cough and the dash looked like a puddle and the web was falling apart from the moisture and she was a wet little ball. It is at that point that I realized I have no mode of disposal, so I popped inside for the roll of paper towels right fast and when I trotted my victorious ass back to the car... BITCH HAS CLIMBED BACK UP ON HER WEB!! So now I'm mad, right. And I grab my trusty shoe and I SQUASH HER LIKE THE HUGE POISONOUS WHORE SHE IS. Phew. Busy night.

First day of the new-old job tomorrow. I'm keeping an open mind.

The Tut exhibit was awesome. They had a bunch of Akhenaten's stuff, which was cool. and Tut's informal diadem and a whole bunch of other stuff, but there were no pictures allowed, not that that's surprising. Just disappointing.

Tried to help the Sprog with her math today and OMG I should never teach children anything. I do not have the touch.
